    Day Trip to Haleakala National Park and Hana Coast Rainforest

    After early-morning pickup from your Maui hotel, enjoy a light morning snack and begin your journey by luxury 8-seater limo-van to Haleakala National Park and the Hana Coast rainforest. Travel through the picturesque Central Valley for 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pickup location, and ascend to the pinnacle of Haleakala National Park at 10,023 feet (3,055 meters). When you arrive at the visitor’s center on the rim of the Haleakala Crater, marvel at breathtaking panoramas and enjoy countless photo opportunities before descending along the scenic mountain drive. See cattle and dairy ranches on the way to the Hawaiian paniolo town of Makawao. Today, this quaint, rustic town is home to an eclectic group of little shops and boutiques, which you can browse during your free time here. In between sightseeing, head to a scenic location -- depending on the weather and the group's preferences -- to relax and enjoy a gourmet Pacific Rim lunch.     Explore Maui: Hana Highway Drive and Waterfalls Hike

    Meet in central Maui for the 2.5-hour drive down the famous Hana Highway, a scenic stretch of coastal road along the island’s east shore that crosses more than 50 bridges. During your trip, you'll loop around eastern Maui to the trailhead, where you begin your full-day hike through Maui’s ultimate waterfall wonderland, an area that is still described as “old Hawaii.”

    On a 4.5-mile excursion deep into Maui’s national park, you'll adventure past a network of waterways and cascading waterfalls referred to as the “Seven Sacred Pools” due to its otherworldly beauty. Climb trails that cut through acres of towering bamboo and rich vegetation, and discover multiple waterfalls tucked deep into the forest, some measuring more than 400 feet (122 meters).

    Halfway through the day, stop for a lunch of your choice of a ham, turkey, or peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or a veggie burger. Other snacks such as fresh island fruit, chips, cookies and water provided along the way will keep your energy up. After returning to the trailhead, you'll circle one last time in a van around eastern Maui before ending your day-long journey into Hawaii’s untamed wilderness back in central Maui.
