Sure, the word “tumbling” has a clumsy connotation. But when preceded by the word GYMNASTICS, it’s a calculated acrobatic sporting discipline. Not to mention it’s also a fantastic workout and an even better time!
During this class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of gymnastics tumbling. You’ll receive training for proper body position and timing to develop the strength and flexibility needed to pull off cool maneuvers.
Each lesson begins with an emphasis on stretching, as flexibility is as crucial as power and body position. You’ll develop your range of motion to enable yourself to perform movements you never thought your body was capable of.
In terms of strength training, you’ll practice exercises from parkour and cheer as well in order to build the muscles you need to do handstands and handsprings, as well as backflips and layouts.
By the end of the session, you’ll have a whole new perspective on the meaning of “tumbling.”
Note: You must be at least 7 years old to participate.
