    Chilkoot Horseback Riding

    Alaska Excursions
When it comes to exploring Alaska's incredible natural bounties, four legs are better than two! You'll find that out for yourself while prancing through the Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park. Saddle up for some fun! You'll begin your day with a quick driving tour of Skagway, followed by a scenic coastline ride to Alaska Excursions' Dyea ranch. There, after a brief safety presentation, you'll mount up beside an experienced handler and set off for nearly two hours of riding through the park. As you ride, you'll enjoy stories of the area's past, including tales of the Klondike Gold Rush. You'll see plenty of signs of those hectic times as well, such as the ruins of a former gold rush town and the Slide Cemetery. You'll also enjoy sweeping scenery featuring pristine mountain backdrops, sprawling forest, and Alaskan wildflowers. Riding out onto the Dyea flats, you'll spend some time taking in an overlook view of the Lynn Canal. This is a great chance to spot a range of native wildlife, including bald eagles! After returning to the ranch, refreshments such as Alaskan salmon pate await, before your ride back to Skagway. Vote "neigh" for adventure!

    Exclusive Flightseeing & Crab Feast

    Taquan Air
Searching a real Alaskan experience? This seaplane flight and crab cake dinner could be just what you're looking for! You'll experience the incredible thrill of a water takeoff as you lift off the ocean in a DeHavilland Beaver. As you take flight over the Tongass Narrows, you'll be in constant communication with your pilot for a fully-narrated experience thanks to state-of-the-art headphones. That's good news, since there's a lot to point out below, including isolate mining towns, high-altitude lakes, and native communities. After 30 minutes, you'll arrive at the George Inlet Lodge on the far side of Revillagigedo Island. You'll touch down there to learn about the lodge's fascinating history and enjoy a delicious Alaskan meal of smoked salmon, romaine salad tossed with tangerine oranges, and hot Dungeness Crab paired with clarified butter and red potatoes. And to wash it down, you'll have Alaskan Amber beer and white wine with cheesecake smothered in Alaskan blueberries for dessert. Afterwards, you'll have time to hang out by the fireplace or stroll the dock, before enjoying a relaxed, narrated drive back to Ketchikan. Just another day in Alaska.
