Up for some fun in Alaska? Like, way up? Take your notions of excitement to new heights with a helicopter ride over Tongass National Forest!
Your day begins with a pickup from your hotel (or another location) and transportation to Juneau International Airport. After getting outfitted with a backpack full of glacier trekking gear and an orientation, you'll rise above the city and fly across a temperate rainforest leading up to beautiful mountain peaks! Below, you'll spot the Juneau Icefield, which encompasses a staggering 1,500-square miles.
You'll land atop the isolated Lemon Glacier, where you can choose your own adventure alongside an experienced guide! Trek across the ice towards a set of mountain lakes formed by the glacier, explore haunting ice caves, discover raging waterfalls, climb sheer walls of ice, and immerse yourself in a surreal world of incredible adventure.
And just when you think the fun has come to an end, you'll take off on a scenic flight back to the city! Being grounded is so overrated.
Note: Must be fit enough to hike for 3-4 hours over 4 miles of moderate terrain while carrying a 10lb backpack.
