Best accessed by air, this vast untouched wilderness was first identified in the journals of explorer Captain George Vancouver in 1793. See New Eddystone Rock, a striking remnant of early geological activity, at the entrance to spectacular Rudyard Bay. This will serve as your introduction to the monument. Your pilot will be sure to point out glacier-carved fjords, beautiful river valleys, and pristine mountain lakes, identifying the scenic wonders for your viewing pleasure as you fly overhead.
