LeConte Glacier & "Little Norway" Tour

You there! Freeze! Stop what you're doing and join Alaska Waters Inc. for an amazing glacier tour! Sitting in a 12-mile fjord at the head of LeConte Bay, the spectacular LeConte Glacier is not only North America's southernmost tidewater glacier, but it's also part of a massive system of glaciers that stretches for 120 miles between the Stikine and Whiting Rivers. All around this remote fjord, snowy peaks rise high into the clear Alaskan air to heights of 4,000 feet, and thundering waterfalls plunge into its depths. You'll travel these remarkable waters aboard a covered and heated jet boat, maneuvering between fields of icebergs and spotting both nesting harbor seals and bald eagles preying on seal pups. Afterwards, you'll make a 1-2 hour stop in Petersburg, also known as Alaska's "Little Norway." There you can grab a bite to eat or visit the Petersburg Museum. This charming community also offers plenty of souvenir opportunities. Depending on tide conditions, the Petersburg stop may occur at the beginning of the tour. What an awesome tour -- talk about icing on the cake!
