    Country Waltz

Come down to Austin Uptown Dance and learn this traditional and constantly evolving dance. What started out in 18th century Germany has since developed into this distinctly American offshoot, retaining many of its original characteristics while adding in some American country charm. You'll learn the basic steps and practice putting motion to movement. Country waltzes are partner dances, traditionally shared between a mother/son or father/daughter at a wedding ceremony.
