What's so "big" about the Big Island? Size it up for yourself with a guided adventure tour!
Kick off your day with a drive between the Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea islands, and stop at the famed Rainbow Falls of Hilo. Shop the farmer's market for local goods, before heading off to Onomea Bay. There, you'll visit the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden. Take in 2,000 species of plants, explore trails, discover waterfalls, and make your way to the ocean.
Drive to Akaka Falls, where you'll be immersed in fern forests, espy orchids, and take in 440-feet of cascading water. Finish up with a trip to the mystical Waipio Valley, a rarely visited, yet immensely gorgeous destination that was once home to thousands of Hawaiian natives.
No big whup.
Note: Closed-toe shoes are required. All guests (including children) should be able to negotiate a strenuous 4-mile hike, unassisted, which includes a high number of steep uphill and downhill sections. Guests with small children are responsible for providing their own child carriers to safely navigate the entire hike. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by adults.
