    Tips and Mixology

    This day long intensive class will familiarize you with every aspect of bartending! The first session is devoted to TIPS (Training in Intervention Procedures by Servers of alcohol), a nationwide certification program that teaches the responsible serving of alcohol. You will learn about the legal issues of bartending like checking IDs, the physiological and psychological effects of consuming alcohol, and the best ways to keep guests under control through acting out various difficult situations. At the end of this session, you'll take the TIPS certification exam and receive your certification card in the mail. Then, you'll take a lunch back before returning for the second, exciting part of this class. The second session will focus on learning and understanding the essential skills behind making any type of alcoholic drink, even frozen drinks, cocktails, daiquiris, and layered shots! You'll learn the bar setup, how to distinguish between different alcohols and mixers, and how to use all the necessary bar equipment. Once you've mastered these skills, you will be equipped to make any drink imaginable!
