Went with family and had a great time! Although we weren't able to escape in time we had a blast trying, would definitely recommend!

It was frustrating enough that giving it 5 stars almost feels wrong, but I have to admit they have a really good escape room on their hands. Good use of real jail cells and clever puzzles.

Fuller review to follow, but for now can simply say that this is a very well-conceived escape room that stands up to the high caliber set by (most) other Boston options. Well worth the time and money, both for experienced players and first-timers.

I have been to two other escape rooms, so this was my third. The first one i went to was practically the best thing I have ever done. I loved it so much I decided to do another. The second one was really lame. No story behind it, no ambience, and they put my friends and me in a room with a bachelorette party. Not fun.
This room was really great. It was interesting, challenging, and had a fun story line. I went with 5 other people from work as a bonding experience and it was just right. there were SO many puzzles to solve, it was very entertaining. Definitely would recommend!

Went here for part of a birthday celebration and it was a blast! The real small town jail cells make a great ambiance as you try to figure out the riddles and puzzles. It's definitely challenging and we did not finish in time, but we got very close.
Carlos was running the game that day and did a great job orienting us, making it fun, and supplying us with the optional 3 hints in-game. This escape room was also nice because it required less people per-party than some of the other rooms around Boston. That way you could have a game all to yourself with a smaller party of 3-4.
I would highly recommend this escape room if you're looking for a fun 1-hour activity and want to use your wits.

It was pretty awesome. I've never done anything like it, but will certainly do more in the future.

Why, yes, my friends and I would love to give you $28.00 each to have ourselves locked up in separate jail cells. Oh! You're going to handcuff two of us to the cell doors and lock them without giving us the key? Perfect. Sounds just peachy.
So, that's how our Amaze Escape challenge started. I won't go into too many details about the challenge itself (no one likes spoilers!), but I highly recommend this place. When we first arrived, we were a bit skeptical because the building looked a bit sketchy/deserted. It just seemed like we were entering an office building that was closed for the night and for a split second we thought we may have been scammed by purchasing tickets online a few hours earlier. Anyway, once you enter the building, don't bother going to the intercom as Amaze Escape is not in the directory. Don't panic. If you look to the right, you will see a handwritten sign with their phone number on it hanging in the window.
When we called, no one picked up (ahh!), but we called again and someone said they would come out and meet us. We later realized that they only had one person running everything (greeting people, distributing waivers, introducing the challenge, setting things up, monitoring the challenge, etc.) so it made sense that things were a bit backed up.
If you are looking for something different to do with your friends, I highly (highly) recommend this place. You will laugh with your friends and probably yell at them a minute later for not sharing some important detail that could have helped you out.
Really fun place. Definitely recommend.
