The Sip of Boston Brew Tour July 25, 2017What a great tour. Andy, our amazing and funny guide was a great driver, knowledgeable about Boston and beer. He took great care of us throughout the day and was just fun to be around. You can bet when we come back to Boston, and we will, we will take another tour with Andy. And discover more great Boston beer & Cider. Cheers!

The Sip of Boston Brew Tour July 16, 2017Had a great time, Mark definitely knows his stuff!
This isn't just like a standard pub crawl, but really more of a behind the scenes around Boston's local breweries -

The Sip of Boston Brew Tour June 29, 2017I have now been on two Boston Brew Tours, one 2 years ago (the daytime one) and the nighttime one this past weekend. Each time I have loved my experience and definitely recommend it.
I'm a big fan of supporting small local breweries and this tour is an excellent way to discover breweries you may not have known about otherwise. We had 16 generous samples and the food was great.
Our tour guide was funny and we felt safe in his care (since he's responsible for driving a big van of people). He was very informative and made an effort to get to know everyone.
Thanks for the great experience! -

Great safe way to get around , we stopped at 3 brewers. The pretzels and water bottles in van where perfect!!! We will do this again!!!

The Sip of Boston Brew Tour February 19, 2017I was able to book this tour last minute and it was the best choice! Our tour guide, Andrew, did a wonderful job showing the group around the breweries. We were able to try a large variety of beers including a sour beer. The tour allowed us to go back into the brewery of three different establishments. Night Shift, Mystic, and Slumbrew brewery were allll fantastic and gave us plenty to sample. Best part, pretzels halfway through the adventure. I would highly recommend, especially the morning (earliest) tour!

Evening Brew Tour February 16, 2016I went with my boyfriend as part of our Valentine's day celebration. Andy was a great tour guide. We actually went to the wrong place because Vimbly had their old location up and Andy was great about going out of his way to pick us up there. He is also clearly knowledgeable and passionate, which really added to the experience. Lastly it was really fun to meet all the other people on the tour from all over the world. I will definitely recommend this to my friends in and visiting Boston. And I hope to hit up one of their other city tours in the future!

Evening Brew Tour September 17, 2014Took a friend out to do this for his 21st birthday. I'd like to think I know more about beer than the average person, but this was still fun and informative. The guys leading us were very chill and fun. I want to go again on a different day so we can go to different breweries. Highly recommended for all beer fans. The only downside was that booking was somewhat difficult; they cancel tours when not enough people have signed up and that can really screw up your schedule when you've planned around it.

Evening Brew Tour January 15, 2014I've been on the brewery tours before in California, but this one was above my expectations. The whole evening of excellent local beer sampling (and a dinner, too) in a couple of nice locations in the company of fellow beer enthusiasts! Perfect way to socialize, especially if you're alone in Boston for a business trip. Ben was excellent guide, it was very nice to chat with him about beer production process and tons of other interesting things. Definitely would recommend this tour - it's worth its price. Be sure not to plan other activities for this night (you will be pleasantly tired) and think about how you're going to get home - 15-16 beer samples are not compatible with driving :)

Evening Brew Tour December 28, 2013My boyfriend and I took the night brew tour and it was an absolute blast. Max was an awesome guide/driver and took us to some awesome breweries - that I never would have known existed! I would recommend this tour over the others, as they go to the larger breweries which you could just do yourself. Heading to Everett and Chelsea requires a driver..and we absoultley needed it, as you will DRINK on this tour. We learned a ton, drank great beers, and were pleasantly stumbling home afterwards. Highly, highly recommend it!

Evening Brew Tour December 18, 2013My brother and I had the best time on our Tour of the Harpoon, Meadhall, Idle Hands, Night Shift Breweries. Our driver, Kevin, was very pleasant and knowledgeable and we met a bunch of really nice people. We will definitely do it again!

Evening Brew Tour November 18, 2013Pretty cool tour. Did the night tour on Saturday and was really impressed. For to try a lot of different beers, pizza was great at area four (I think that's right), and Max (our guide/driver) definitely went out of the way to make sure we had fun. I woulda enjoyed hanging out at Harpoon a little longer, but completely understand that as well (have about 15-20 after the tour). Overall awesome time and had a good group as well.

Evening Brew Tour November 13, 2013I had the opportunity to take the tour on 11/12/13, and had a great time! Chad was a fantastic tour guide, providing an excellent combination of beer history and humor throughout the entire tour.
First, we went to the Sam Adams Brewery in Jamaica Plain, where we went on a "traditional" (guided) tour. From there, we headed over to Mead Hall in Cambridge where we had a delicious lunch, some tasty brews, and a behind the scenes tour of their keg room. After we wrapped up at Mead Hall, we went to Everett to check out Night Shift Brewing (my favorite!), then to Chelsea to visit Mystic Brewing. After all that, I was dropped off within stumbling distance from my apartment ("stumbling" being the operative word- the samples are plentiful!).
I'd recommend this tour to anyone (unless you don't like beer, but then we probably wouldn't be talking to each other) from folks visiting Boston to longtime residents. The breweries we visited were diverse enough that it didn't feel like you took the same tour four times, and our tour guide was definitely a useful resource in terms of getting us the "rock star" treatment at each of our stops. I'm looking forward to booking my next tour soon! -

Evening Brew Tour October 21, 2013This was very educational and entertaining. Chad went all the way explaining many things about beer and Boston. the Sam Adams tour was first class and thorough, the lunch was great and 100 beers on tap requires a lot of cleaning lol but provides a wide variety of beers. I didn't care much for the hoppy beers at Cambridge brewing but all else was fine. And I found the beers at Mystic to be unique and special. Other cities should pick up on this type of focus, since everybody on my tour does home brewing and provide brewing tours.

Original Brew Tour August 31, 2013I am in no way a beer fan, but I had a lot of fun on this tour. The staff at the harpoon brewery and the owner of the Boston Brew Tour co. Taught me a lot. I can now ask for a beer that I know I will like and why. We were with a good group and our guide, Chad, was awesome, laid back, and knowledgable about beer! Would recommend if you want a laid back tour with awesome pizza to boot!

Evening Brew Tour August 21, 2013My friend and I took this tour on August 10th, and it was fantastic. Eli, our tour guide, was not only fun and personable, but incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about craft beers. It was definitely one of the highlights of our Boston trip. Thanks guys!

Original Brew Tour June 27, 2013A great experience if you're looking to sample some of the less well-known breweries in the Boston area. We visited three breweries, Night Shift, Mystic and the Cambridge Brewing Company, plus had a great dinner at the Meadhall with a behind the scenes look at how they run their taps up the bar upstairs. Our tour guide Eli was awesome too, very knowledgeable about the brewing process. Great way to spend an evening!

Original Brew Tour May 13, 2013Our tour guide Eli was great. Really knowledgeable about beer and the brewing process. Went to Harpoon and that tour was awesome and got a chance to drink quite a bit, then the Meadhall where were ate a great meal then onto two microbreweries in Everett, Idle Hands and Nightshift, which was a totally different perspective than the big Harpoon brewery. We had a great time, learned, and saw a lot, and was pretty lubed up by the time it was over, plus didn't have to drive anywhere. If you love beer I definitely suggest doing this.

Evening Brew Tour May 7, 2013I took this tour a few weekends ago for my buddy's bachelor party. It was a blast. Our guide, Jake, was awesome and well-informed.
The tour itself was very interesting, ranging from Harpoon's massive operation to Idle Hands' nanobrewery, with a stop at the Mead Hall for a great lunch and a look at how you manage to keep 100 beers on tap.
I'd recommend this tour for anyone who is even mildly interested in brewing, tasting, or learning about beer. -

Original Brew Tour March 30, 2013The brew tour we booked through Boston Brew Tours was absolutely incredible! So much fun! So much variety! So much beer! It was 100% worth every cent. We got to tour all different kinds of breweries, from large to very small, and we also got to see how the beer is distributed when we got to see the basement of Meadhall. To our surprise, we were also served a *delicious* meal with all sorts of food made with beer. In a group of no more than 11 at a time, the intimacy really adds a special something that you won't get elsewhere.
After a few days of historical Boston, this really was the icing on the cake. Don't miss out!
