Victorian Back Bay Walking Tour

What to expect
  • Visit Back Bay treasures like the townhouses, Trinity Church, the Boston Public Library, and Old South Church
  • Learn about the filling of the Back Bay and the creation of the neighborhood
  • Marvel at the streets, sidewalks, and boulevards designed to imitate Paris
On this walking tour, you will learn about the filling of the Back Bay, the creation of the neighborhood, and how it was enabled by the development of new technology in the mid-1800s. See for yourself how this area was designed to imitate the grand boulevards of Paris, and that because of this, the Back Bay is one of the few areas of Boston where the streets are straight and the sidewalks wide. Boston's Back Bay embraces one of America's richest collections of art and architecture. You will stroll around and take in the treasures of Back Bay and Copley Square, including grand rows of Back Bay townhouses, Trinity Church, the Boston Public Library, and New Old South Church.

Note: Meeting location is on the Copley Square side of Trinity Church (not the Clarendon Street side). A max of 5 people can book at a time as per our partner's strict group booking policy. If you are group of 6 or more and place multiple bookings to go around our partner's restriction, our partner will immediately cancel your bookings.
