What if you made all of your dinnerware? No plate went produced without touching your hands. Crazy, right? Well, not really. This introduction to kiln forming guides you through the process of creating the most traditional fused glass form: the plate. You’ll learn basic kiln forming theory, design and color applications. Once you have the basics down, you’ll return for day two, when basic cutting techniques will be covered, such as straight lines and curves. Sculpt your dinnerware with your bare hands. It’s damn impressive.
Note: All materials included. Sign up for the first session through Vimbly, and the second session meets the following day at the same time.
All glass projects have to be cooled or "annealed" in a kiln after creation, for this reason all projects will be available for pick up within 1 week of the class. (Next day for Flameworking classes only) please call ahead to schedule pick up
