Very informative and fun!

We did the freedom Trail tour which lasted about 2.30 hours. The Tour Guide Brian was great, really knowledgable, enthusiastic and funny. The tour covers 11 of the 16 stops on the freedom trail, and Brian discussed each point in just enough detail to keep you intrigued but not bored.
This tour probably isn't that interesting for kids but it does warn you on the description that its a historical tour (but what else did you expect). I would certainly recommend this tour and this tour company in general, we have now done 8 tours by Free Tours by Foot in 4 different cities and each one is great.
This tour is probably best to do early in your stay in Boston, as it allows you to get your bearings of downtown Boston, and learn about most of the Freedom Trail sites, so you can then explore in more detail on your own afterwards.

We took the Freedom Trail Tour with Brian and were very impressed and happy we did. We had a group of 4 couples and Brian's group was around 20. He did a great job of explaining different sites and giving us the history on what happened. He was 'wicked smart' and a real showman. You had to listen close when we got into the busier areas but he was patient and really got into the story telling aspect. We took his suggestion later in our trip and had a 'cold Sam Adams' across from the 'cold Sam Adams". Highly recommend!!!!!!!

Great concept and the tours were brilliantly laid out and fun! Thanks to both Beth and Brian. These tours were the highlight of my Boston trip this week.

Went on the freedom trail last week with tour guide brian. He had such energy giving the tour that you couldnt help but enjoy it. He had so many interesting facts and stories. This was our first time to boston and i cant wait to go back and do another tour. The only downside is that they dont offer more tours until the weekends

We did the Freedom Trail tour with Brian on the 4th of July, and it couldn't have been any better!
When Brian first introduced himself, I admit, I was a bit overwhelmed by his energy level, but once he started the tour, that energy came through as passion and enthusiasm for his city, and it kept the tour exciting and fun. He was funny and interesting, and the kids (12 and 16) thought he was great as well.
We saw so much of the city, got a great refresher course on some long forgotten US History, and learned a lot of new, interesting facts.
This is now the third city we have taken Free Tours by Foot, (after Washington D.C. and New Orleans) and they have all been great. We are touring with them in Philly in a few days too!
One thing I'll admit though, we have not saved a lot of money (if any) over using the "paid" tours, because we have enjoyed the tours so much that we have tipped as much as we would have paid the others, but probably got a better tour!
