Are you looking for a real mountain climbing challenge? Mt. Washington is known as "Home of the World's Worst Weather," and for good reason. It's common for winter wind speeds to hit 100+ mph!
During this hike, you'll start by climbing up the Tuckerman Ravine trail, during which you'll get your hearts pumping before the real workout begins. Once you get to a .5 mile section of steep terrain, that's when you'll break out the ice axes and crampons to put your skills to the test.
The reward will be great, however! At the top of the terrain you'll get amazing views of the White Mountains and the iconic Tuckerman Ravine. Don't forget your camera for a moment like this! Then your final push will be to the top of New England, the 6,288-foot Mt. Washington summit.
Successful climbers will get a photo opportunity at the top -- proof that you've conquered the home of the world's worst weather!
Note: Private classes are available. You must be at least 14 years old.
