My Wednesday class with Parkour Generations Boston is one of the absolute highlights of my week, and I'm desperately searching my calendar for a way to squeeze in another weekly class.
The coaches are exceptional. Each class is a glorious combination of strength, power, balance, endurance, and mobility work coupled with technical skill development. I came a few months ago as a total beginner and felt welcome from the start by the coaches and by the friendly, diverse community.
Coaches are terrific at breaking down the skills to find an appropriate challenge for every skill level. They go out of their way to emphasize safety, ensuring students will enjoy parkour for many, many years to come. I trust them completely to help me find the right level for practice -- challenging yet safe and accessible. In addition to the physical workout, it's also an excellent mental exercise -- facing fear in a healthy way and learning to let go of ego and honor the level you're at. I'm already seeing the benefits start to spill over into other areas of my life.
I really love the playful aspect of parkour, and of the Parkour Generations Boston coaches. I'm learning to see my environment in a completely different way -- every little thing from a staircase to a wall to a railing and beyond becomes a toy to play with, an adventure waiting to happen. It's empowering, fun, challenging, and a terrific education for my body and mind. Come play with us!

The instructors not only have the talent and skill but also the patience, humor, tact and professionalism needed to teach a diverse population of people. The kids classes are great and fun and the workshops especially the Rendezvous are awesome as well! This organization is highly skilled and highly qualified and I'm glad that I found them!

I've been exploring parkour with Parkour Generations Americas for going on 2 years now. Every class is consistently good or great. The coaches are friendly, skilled, and know how to break down movements, and find varying levels of difficulty to challenge everyone in the group. They've built a strong community of practitioners and enthusiasts.
Not only does PKG Americas have some great local coaches, they also bring in guest coaches from various parts of the world, either for one-time events, or for months at a time. This helps you get a well rounded idea of parkour around the world, rather than just what people are doing locally.
I picked up parkour with PKG Americas shortly after my 40th birthday. It's definitely a great work out, both for body and mind. It's not just for peole in their teens and 20s. There are people in the area getting started in their 60s.
I've had quite a bit of martial arts training in various styles over the years, and I find parkour to be much more fulfilling than any martial art I've ever studied.
