Weekend Wakeup Parkour January 6, 2016My 10 year old has been taking classes here for over a year now, and he loves it. Mind you, he pretty much only likes video games and electronics, but happily leaves the house every week for this. He has high functioning autism, so sports in general as well as social interactions are more of a struggle for him than most. Best way to describe him is anything new is frightening for him, but once he does anything once, it goes away. The instructors here are patient, kind, but also challenged him, which I love. He usually shies away from sports, so I'm grateful for this place and the instructors here who are so good with kids. His new years resolution: "I'm good at school and math, but his year I'm going to practice parkour more so I can get better" THANK YOU ALL!!!

Weekend Wakeup Parkour November 3, 2014Parkour provides a constantly evolving challenge based on both your skills and interests. The Parkour Generation coaches focus on giving you individual skills to work on based on your abilities or limitations that makes parkour far more approachable than seeing people doing all sorts of crazy flips or jumping off buildings.
Additionally I appreciate how the Parkour Generations team is inclusive of women as sometimes parkour can sometimes be male dominated. But there are multiple women coaches and there are many women who take the classes.
The varying class location helps me as a practitioner as it forces me to constantly explore new environments and challenges, making me think more about how I can approach an obstacle.
Additionally, as somebody with an injury (not sustained at parkour), Blake and the other coaches are good about providing challenges that work around my injury allowing me to continue training. Because as reviewer Michael D. noted, parkour as practiced by Parkour Generations is approachable for everybody. -
