In this day and age, it’s not easy making long-term positive changes. Fortunately, for most of us, there is shotokan karate that keeps us motivated and encourages us to take the driven path. In this introductory class, learn the tools to live a more successful, healthy, and positive life. Develop the methods to accomplish this task by practicing the four fundamentals of martial arts: self-defense, forms (katas), basic strikes (kicks, punches, blocks, etc.), and sparring. The forms you will be taught have been carried on for generations, and will help you establish an inner champion’s attitude, behavior, character, and standard of excellence. About the Teacher
O Sensei Alberto Ortiz is a 6th degree black belt in Open Shotokan Karate and brings more than 25 years of experience to the studio. Being a former national fighting and forms champion, he has traveled the country and is known for his articulate fighting and coaching skills and is very well respected throughout the martial arts community.
