The main concept behind Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the use of proper body mechanics and technique to gain leverage and dominant position over your opponent. Jiu Jitsu was developed for the smaller person to defend against larger adversaries, And at Carlos Neto BJJ, you'll learn how to do just that. It is considered a soft martial art since it uses joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat opponents instead of direct strikes. Since this is a "no-gi" class, you'll be learning your submissions without a traditional combat kimono. Get ready to take down the big guy. But you can leave your slingshot at home.
