In case you didn't know, tango originated as a street dance -- at least, that's how Argentine Tango structures their beginner course. During a two hour class, you will focus on six aspects of tango: basic movements, leading and following, techniques and posture, musicality, tango culture, and history. These fundamental aspects will allow you to improvise rather than memorize complicated dance patterns, and create balance, not only with yourself, but with your partner. An understanding of tango's musicality and culture will only strengthen this ability as well. To truly immerse yourself in this dance, it's essential to have explored every avenue. Now grab a partner because it takes more than one to tango.
