    Downeast Cider House
There's nothing like a growler or two of craft cider to take the edge off, right? Fill up for the week ahead during this growler fill event! Downeast Cider House uses locally grown apples to create a range of delicious handcrafted ciders on location. During this filling event, they open their doors, offering sample from the taps to help you decide which ones are going to be living in your refrigerator for the next few days... or hours. You can also sit back and grab a few pints, or even some Downeast Cider swag, and brush elbows with other cider-loving enthusiasts! How do you like them apples?

Glassblowing TEEN CAMP - 4 day Summer Intensives

    Diablo Glass School
Teens who are interested in working in a team atmosphere with a lot of physical activity will enjoy working in the glass blowing shop. Diablo's experienced instructors will guide teens through a series of demonstrations and hands-on exercises to build their understanding of the medium. There is a three students to one instructor ratio in the hot shop to ensure safety and plenty of individual instruction. First, students will learn basic glass manipulation by creating a paperweight. They will move on to learn how to introduce air into the piece to create a bubble. From there, students can make glasses and small vases. In the afternoon students will move into the kiln forming studio. There they will assemble pieces of glass that they will heat in the kiln to create a fused piece of glass. Their first assignment will be to make some pendants. They will learn basic glass cutting techniques, along with kiln forming and color theory to create coasters and plates.

    Glassblowing 101 : Drinking Glasses

    Diablo Glass School
Like in ancient Greece, you sculpted glass into your cups. Wine was sipped from a utensil that took days to produce. This two-day introduction to glassblowing will guide first timers, and others looking to brush-up on their skills, through the fundamentals of gathering glass from the furnace, vocabulary, tools, and safety. You will start with one of Diablo's core exercises: the paperweight. Then the class will be introduced to the blown bubble through a series of demonstrations and hands-on exercises. You will then apply the color and blowing techniques learned to create your very own colorful drinking glass.
