    Experience the intoxicating drink of the Gods: Mead, a specialized wine made from honey. If you've never heard of or tried this beverage before, this is one activity you do not want to miss! Mead is the oldest fermented beverage, and it has developed a rich history over the years. This activity will teach you all about the history of mead, the importance of its ingredients, and the processes around its fermentation. During the tour, you will see for yourself how mead is made, and your helpful tour guide will give you specifics about the different styles of mead, including pyment, melomel, cyser, and metheglin. Next it's time for a delicious tasting experience! You will get to taste up to six meads, starting with a knowledgeable staff member reviewing each of their varieties and allowing you to pick from each grouping. You will start with drier varieties, working towards semi-sweet, then into the dessert-like meads. Take notes of your favorites ones! Every sip of its minimally processed, rich flavour will delight your senses. They will make a mead enthusiast of you in no time. You must be 21+ years of age to participate in tastings.
