Very interactive. Little over dramatic but funny... good improv... plot was a little confusing to follow but over all a good time

My dear husband found this place and assembled a group of 8 of us to attend. We were all a bit skeptical but if you go in with an open mind and let yourself, it makes for a fun evening. The venue was intimate. Parking was easy. Dinner was good. They did the improv show in acts. They could have done a better job of explaining how the evening would work. For example, when we checked in, we were told to make a name tag, but weren't told to make up a name. The actors were good. The story was ok. The concept itself was pretty good. The foid was quite good. There was a lot of audience participation and interaction, which was fun but stressful at the same time. I think I prefer shows where I sit back and watch. The actors asked for tips at the end. For what we paid, I would have hoped the actors were paid well so they didn't need to do that. Oh well. We did it once. I'm good.

I was extremely disappointed with this show. After looking at reviews from similar dinner detective shows, this one seem to have the best and I'm not sure why. My boyfriend and I took our parents and spent full price for all six of us expecting to have a fun murder mystery dinner.
The acting was terrible, it was more like amateur improv comedy. The clues that were given were minimal, and although there was a lot of audience interaction, none of that interaction related to the mystery. Everyone at our table, as well as everyone around us, seemed to be very confused when it came time to "state who we thought the suspect was".
The dinner was very good; we all had either chicken or steak... It was very similar to that you would get at a wedding at the Holiday Inn. Their servers were fantastic, and the overall service from the hotel was wonderful. This is the reason I am giving it to stars, otherwise it would get zero.
Our consensus is that we would've rather spend that money on a very nice meal. Maybe if we got this on a Groupon it would've been worth it, but at full price it is quite the scam.
It would have been nice if the clues were cohesive to the events, but out of 100 people only one person was able to randomly guess who did it. Overall, this night had a very awkward feel to it. The other people at our table made it fun, and of course our company had a good time just being around each other, but I would never recommend this to a friend.

I went with my family and we had an excellent time. This is a much better deal then going out to dinner and then walking to a show. Here, the dinner and the show are together and they blend well throughout the show. The actors are energetic and there are laughs throughout. The audience gets involved and you will be laughing throughout the evening. I have been to the other dinner theatre shows in Boston and this one is easily the best. If you're going to do one, do this one. It will be a night you won't forget!

We were a little skeptical, but thought we'd give it a try. The cast and staff were excellent, not only did we have a very nice dinner, but the show was something that we all enjoyed. Just enough audience participation to still be involved but be able to relax and enjoy. Well done!

A large group of us went to this show to celebrate a friends 60th birthday. I found the show to be very funny at times, quite entertaining , and other times found it to be slow. If you don't like to participate in "team building exercises" don't go. It was very interactive.
The evening was planned around having various dinner courses while the actors took intermissions. I felt it was more of a skit than an actual show. There was a lot of a audience participation. The food was typical of an event, it was good, nothing special. There was a cash bar. It was a fun night. Something different. Probably won't return.

Last night a group of us attended and participated in the production. Before entering the theatre/dining room, you must put on a name tag. However, the name on the tag can be – and is suggested to be – fictional. Some of the names we encountered were Captain Nemo, Mary Poppins, Snaglepuss, and Esmeralda. The bartender and waitstaff also wore name tags.
People were seated at tables around the room, with 8 – 10 people at each table.
The evening began with hors d’oeuvres served by the waitstaff. Following that the theatre part began. We were told to leave our tables, mingle on the floor with the rest of the people attending and asking questions. We were provided with paper and pencil to keep notes on our conversations. When we returned to our tables the action began. A wounded person stumbled into the room, fell on the floor and died. Police detectives appeared and began their investigation. The detectives mentioned some things that might turn out to be clues – or might not. From their first appearance the detectives interacted with the audience, asking several people to stand and answer questions. The detectives ad-libbing in response to the answers was excellent. The audience laughed loud and often. Several suspects from the audiences were pointed out and interrogated. There was a pause in this activity and dinner was served. After dinner the show continued as did the humor. Clues were circulated to help us uncover the murderer. At last we were given a piece of paper and asked to write the name of who we thought was the criminal. There was a short rest while dessert was served. Finally the detectives presented all the pertinent facts and named the guilty party. One person in the room had correctly named the criminal and was given a prize.
The production was very well done. Much humor, much laughing, much enjoyment.
There were two small things that kept the evening from being perfect, and why I didn't rate it 5/5. One was the food. We had a choice of three entrees: vegetarian, fish and chicken. I had the chicken (with rice and mixed vegetables) as well as just about everyone I could see from my table. It was adequate, edible but nothing great. A little dry, a little chewy. A couple of other people made the same observations. But, as I said, it was adequate – and we really didn’t so much for the food as for the entertainment.
The second thing was a request for gratuities for the actors. The cost of our meals, we were told, included gratuities for the waitstaff. Once the show had ended we were told that the small cans on each table, that contained the pencils we used to write down clues, could also be used for gratuities for the acting staff. Minor point.
Would I return again? Would I recommend it? Yes, to both.

My wife and I drove down from Colorado Springs to visit the murder mystery dinner and I must say we had a blast. Everyone is definitely a suspect! If you are looking for something different to do, this is def it. They served a salad, dinner and desert. If your not a people person than stay home, cause you will never find out who the killer is!

I took my husband there as a surprise birthday gift. He was none too pleased when we arrived and he realized it would be an interactive show. He got extremely nervous and awkward... BUT one hour into it, he really loosened up and we both had a blast. The food was OK, but the vegetarian dish was kind of bland (I remember just a big serving of risotto, meh). Overall, was worth the money though. I regret not planning ahead and coming up with a character. We'd love to go again, with fake names and characters thought out beforehand. The actors at our table totally fooled us. We thought they were attendees just like us. Well done!
