Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full-contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques -- both standing and on the ground -- and combines elements of boxing, wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, muay thai, kickboxing, taekwondo, karate, and judo! In this class, you'll place an equal emphasis on fundamentals and fitness as you learn the basics of self-defense through grappling and ground combat. Then, familiarize yourself with proven techniques to defend yourself in real life situations. This class is designed to give you a taste of the many different martial arts, while you improve upon your flexibility, stamina, muscular strength, and even self-confidence!
