Island Time Picnic and Tandem Kayak Paddle

This picnic adventure is no walk in the park -- it's a paddle in the bay!

During this guided tour, you'll paddle along the waters of Shem Creek in your tandem kayak, making your way out into the diverse ecosystem that lies just beyond its mouth. Here, marshlands and Crab Bank Island form a sanctuary that is home to thousands of nesting seabirds, and a favorite swimming spot for local dolphins.

You'll disembark at the island or a nearby shore, where you'll set up for a scenic picnic featuring delicious local fare, including shrimp, Charleston "Benne Wafers," and key lime pie.

Enjoy views of the harbor as you chow down, making for a lunch ought to be as fulfilling to the spirit as it is to the stomach!
