You're a horror junkie and the movies just aren't giving you the nightmares they used to. Time to up the ante and experience some real-life chills on the Legends of Charleston's Ghosts Tour.
Your professional tour guide will share the history of Charleston and it's ghoulish past on this 90-minute ghost tour. After meeting your guide in downtown Charleston, your tour will start with a visit to the Historic City Market. Learn about the Gullah culture, an offshoot of the African slave trade in the 1500's.
Next it's on to St Philips Church where you'll discover why the graveyard at the church is haunted by Sue Hardy Howard. Her ghostlike image was captured on camera by an unsuspecting cameraman in 1987, exactly ninety-nine years after her child was stillborn.
Visit Charleston's most haunted building! The Old Exchange Building housed the Provost Dungeon and some of the world's most notorious criminals, like the gentleman-pirate Steed Bonnet. Your tour will conclude at Waterfront Park. Look out over the water to Fort Sumter and learn the tragic story of Private Daniel Hough, the only casualty of the Battle of Fort Sumter, whose ghost still haunts the Fort today.
Put your nerves to the test and experience Charleston like never before.
Note: Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair
