If you’re a novice when it comes to preserving foods, this introductory course will help get you out of this jam (by showing you how to make jam). You’ll be learning the finer points of freezing, dehydrating, and canning from an organics specialist. After a food safety overview and some basic instruction, you’ll be getting hands-on practice in these techniques. For the purpose of this instruction, you’ll be working with ripe, delicious strawberries. Afterwards, you’ll get to take the strawberry jam you make home with you!
