Head on over to Alhambra Palace, where the drinks are delicious and the dance floor’s divine. Every Wednesday, this hotspot features a beginner dance swing lesson, followed by a fantastic range of swing dancing to music from the Flat Cats. During the lesson, you will cover the fundamental steps, turns and vocabulary. After class, put your skills to the test with some open dancing as you’ll hear classic big band tunes like Count Basie and Benny Goodman; Rat Pack favorites like Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr.; the music of vocal legends like Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong; new voices like Diana Krall and Michael Buble, along with Ragtime, Chicago Blues and even some R&B and Soul. There is definitely something for everyone, so switch up your Wednesday happy hour with a bit of dancing.
Note: Open dancing until Midnight after the class. No partner necessary. This is an established supper club, therefore collared shirts for men and dresses for women are highly encouraged.
