The best part for me was trying to figure out the clues...

I can't recommended this place enough to any escape room connoisseur. This is really some next-level stuff when it comes to atmosphere and attention to detail. In our room, the sound effects and lighting really made it feel "real" but in a fun way, and we didn't think any clues were overly obvious or impossible to find.
We attempted the "Bunker" room with two people on a Saturday night, and our game master Katie was delight to work with. She let us work through the puzzles, and was always available to provide hints when needed.
The entire experience, from the friendly reception, the room itself, the costumes, the personal attention from our game master, all made for an amazing way to spend an hour. It's a bit tricky to find in the basement of Dearborn station, but so worth it.
They provide lockers for people to put their stuff in, which helps not clutter up the escape room with purses and such. Also, they dock time if you arrive late, so make sure you are there at the appointed time.

Jimmy is the man! I've never had a game master so engaged with his players. We even received a "thank you" card. The 4 of us did the Bunker escape room. We kept him busy by hitting the clue button every 10 minutes, and asking questions while we had his attention. The room was designed elaborately. You can tell a lot of thought was put into every clue, placement of clues, predicting what players would do in that moment by designing clues that would mislead players if they weren't clearly thinking things through. I can't say Bunker was my first choice, but it turned out to be a ton of fun. I don't want to ruin any elements for anyone so keeping things vague. I would totally go back and do it again. I've done two escape rooms so far. The other one was in LA, but I enjoyed Fox in a Box's intimate setting more. I prefer a smaller group, since the first one I did was with 10 people and found that quite chaotic especially when communicating with one another.
We were offered candies and water before and after which was a nice touch. Paid $36/person, a bit higher than the other escape room I did in LA.
Warning: place is tucked away in the basement at the end of the hallway. Read the email instructions you receive for directions or you will get lost in the building.

Djordje was a PHENOMENAL game master, he really tried to set us up for success! We didn't end up breaking into the bank but he knew exactly when to give us a little hint when we were truly stuck, and when to tell us to just keep doing what we're doing without giving us too many clues. I was so frustrated when we didn't succeed, but Djordje was so kind to walk us through how the rest of the heist worked and where we did well and where we could have spent less time. I had such a great time and can't wait for my next escape game! Thank you Djordje!

Jail Break is the hardest room to escape at Fox in a Box. It didn't just require a lot of mental skill, but some physical skill as well. And trust me, it felt pretty real. You really are in jail cells and you and your partners in crime really do need to find a way to escape them.
Only in real life, you aren't offered sparkling beverages after you escape. Nor is there a panic button if you find yourself needing to exit immediately. I also much prefer the fact that you pick your own convicts here. -There are no random people added to your group. The last time our group did one at a different business, we had two (hapless) additions who nearly thwarted our escape with their contributions.
We were the last group of the day and only the 2nd to make a prison break. And with an impressive 14 minutes to spare. Although I can take some minor credit for this escape, the most by far goes to Mr B. -He sees everything in life as a puzzle to solve, while the people around him get to just enjoy the ride. Lucky for me, because without him I'd still be getting cavity searches.

Brought my sales team to this facility for a team building exercise. We rented out the facility and had four rooms going at the same time with 24 people. The staff was fully prepared for us and everything went great. We had some late arrivals and Vince and the team at Fox helped get them situated flawlessly.
The event was a big hit, with everyone raving about it the rest of the night.

I mean, when you get a little older, "clubbing" on a Friday night is just not as appealing anymore. So what do you do? You gear up your noggin and go to an escape room with your fellow old friends.
There are a total of four escape rooms. Each room can accommodate between 2-6 people. The cost for 2 people is $99. The price goes up slightly with each person you add. It's a total of $198 for 6 people. Don't worry about getting paired with strangers, it won't happen.
You are briefed before entering your room. You're meant to tear the room apart trying to find clues to help you escape. While in the escape room there is a game master watching your every move. They're there to help you if absolutely need it by providing you with clues.
I'm telling you, this was so fun! I highly recommend it. We ended up escaping the Bunker with 9 minutes to spare!

Amazing place!!! Perfect for 2-3 couples. It was not so easy, but we really liked it! Friendly staff! Free photo ;) All need it for teamwork. Good for workmates. Really recommend. 5 stars!

I can't say enough good things about this Escape Room! The group I was with completed the Prison room with one minute to spare. It was challenging enough that we did have to ask for hints but was still really fun rather than frustrating (which was my concern going into it). The employees get really into the stories which makes it that much more fun.
Each room can be completed by 2-6 people; we had six which made it easier to find clues but harder to organize.
I'll absolutely be back to try and escape from the other rooms. It's great idea if you're looking for something out of the ordinary to do!

Amazing!! Definitely worth the money.

This place is awesome!!! On top of having a freaking GREAT escape room (we did the Bunker), the staff was very friendly and personable. We went as part of my friend's bachelorette party, so it was nice to have our own private room.
Jeff D.The Bank: Room Escape May 11, 2017
The Bunker is AMAZING! Super unique theme and inventive puzzles. Ricky is the game master supreme. Definitely planing to come back for the Bank Vault!

This was a blast. We do a ton of escape rooms around the country and this one was great. It was tough, but SO fun.
Yaz was awesome! She did a great job

Lovedlovedloved this escape game!! It was so much fun!!! I did the bank vault with my friends and we totally failed to get the diamond but we still had a great time! I wish that the people booking the games had inquired into our experience level or warned us of the difficulty of the room we chose. We were all escape game beginners and we used a room that had a %20 success rate. I would have liked to start the group on one that was not as difficult so we had a better chance of actually solving the puzzle. As it was, we were stumped by the room. We still had an awesome time and i would recommend this company to any others interested in the game. Just don't choose the bank vault of you are a beginner.

I was a bit hesitant to do my first escape room with coworkers - we all have very different personalities - but needed a non-drinking and team-building team outing. After Google searching "adult team building ideas" I came across Fox in a Box, and since their reviews were great, we figured we'd give it a try. Much to many of our surprises, it was really fun! The clues made us really have to think and work together, and although we didn't get the diamond, we had a lot of fun in the process. I'd recommend!

BEST ESCAPE ROOM I'VE EVER DONE.
If you enjoy real puzzles and having to use your brain and collaborative team work to get out, this is the place for you. I've done escape rooms where it's literally just finding keys and opening locks or entering codes, but Fox in a Box has beautifully designed and well-crafted puzzles for you to solve.
You can book for your own private party so you never have to do a room with strangers, which is another thing I hate about other places. My friends and I escaped from the Bank and it was the best room I've ever done. I plan on going back to do the other three and am glad I found a place worth the price.
Other pro's: After we escaped, they gave us free drinks and didn't mind that we just hung out and chilled on their couches. The company emails you your photos so you can save them/post them yourself. The other escape rooms I've done don't even put up our success photos on their social media pages.
Our room escape host was Carrie (sp?) and she was great! Thanks for an amazing time! I will definitely be back.
Dave D.The Bank: Room Escape March 24, 2017
We had a really great time doing the bunker escape room. There was a great variety of puzzles and it was changeling enough that we needed some hints to get through the room. Our game manager, Bruce, was very helpful when I messed up the math and held everyone up (surprise, surprise). It was a good mix of being hard enough but also having help at the points where we were stuck. Our group of 4 was probably the right size to communicate well in the room and still be challenged.
Overall, this was probably the best escape room experience I've had and it makes me want to go back and try another.
Diane W.The Bunker: Room Escape March 17, 2017
Our family just had a great experience at this escape room. We did the Bunker and it was a blast. We escaped with 13 minutes to spare. I would definitely return. Jessica made it a lot of fun. Thanks to all!!!

Went here for a work "team building" activity. Mission accomplished - highly recommend. Katie was awesome helping our group in the Bunker. No phones allowed but they took a picture of us afterwards. Would go back to do other rooms. Do it!

LOVED THE EXPERIENCE! Ryuta was our game master and was the perfect blend of support and pushing our group to problem solve. Not only did we finish, it was such a close call that the thrill of the game really set in (40 seconds left!)...Great instruction, fantastic team building, I will be back!
Susan S.The Bunker: Room Escape February 22, 2017
Fox in a Box was my first "Escape Room" experience. The staff was very welcoming and did a great job explaining the process.
I loved the added touch of my iPhone being able to charge while it was locked up while we participated in the game. The rooms were big and fit the themes very well. The riddles were challenging but clues given gave some direction. Ryuta was great in managing our experience. This is a great place to challenge your mind and work as a team.

Awesome experience for my mom, daughter and I. I have told everyone I know about Fox in a Box. I plan to book another escape soon; this time as a double date.
The prison room was challenging without being stressful. Our group consisted of 2 adults over 40 and a 15 year old. We all were able to contribute to solving the clues. Hints are available if you get stumped. Stimulating experience for everyone and a great way to build on teamworking skills.

What a memorable experience!!!
My mom, daughter and I generally reserve Saturdays for out weekly girls day out. This weekend, our quest for something different led us to Fox in a Box. We not only engaged in an activity that was new for us, but was fun, engaging, and mentally stimulating!
We had a blast trying to escape the prison room using teamwork and the help of our game master Spring!! We WILL be back to try each of the other rooms soon! Thank you Fox in a Box for a great time!
Gary S.The Lab: Room Escape February 11, 2017
Awesome! The people that work there are fun and enthusiastic, and really contribute to the overall experience. I have done two scenarios, and each one was very engaging, challenging, and well done. I was really impressed with the level of detail that was put into the design of the rooms. You really have to think outside the box to figure out how the clues get you to your goal.
Jordan B.The Bunker: Room Escape February 9, 2017
I had a blast!!! Went today with coworkers and had a great experience in the Prison! We escaped with 7 minutes to go! Ryuta our game master made things super fun as officer naughty! Seriously a great bonding experience and would recommend to any and everyone!
Bill N.The Lab: Room Escape February 2, 2017
Wowzers what an incredible experience this was. We chose the prison break venue. We walked in the staff briefed us on what the game consisted of. Everyone was very friendly and informative. Then it came time to get our escape on!! We were locked up in two adjacent jail cells separated by a set of lockers. I won't spoil the fun for you but we were told it was one of the hardest ones to complete in the allotted time. This is great entertainment for everyone. I can't give you to much more detail without spoiling the experience. Trust me you will have a good time.
Melissa L.The Bunker: Room Escape January 17, 2017
We did this during an office leadership retreat and it was a lot of fun. We made it out of the bunker with 15 seconds to spare. Our game master Dannie was awesome!!! I'd do it again in a second.
Robert H.The Bunker: Room Escape January 16, 2017
We had a great time at Fox in a Box! Compared to the one other escape room I did, I found the experience much more polished here We did The Bunker and loved it. Our guide, Bella, did a great job. A little tricky to find the site, so I'd recommend arriving a few minutes early. Looking forward to going back for another room!
Maggie W.The Bunker: Room Escape January 15, 2017
Four of us did The Bunker room and had a wonderful time. We'll definitely sign up for another room soon. The people that work there were super friendly, helpful and explained everything very well. The room itself was challenging and entertaining. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Vincent was our guide and was awesome. So much fun. Will definitely go back and do the other rooms. We did the lab and it was great. had a wonderful family night, 2 adults and two teens.

Absolutely fantastic. Family of 6 adults of two generations. Everyone a bit nervous to begin. Found the experience to be challenging and exciting. Staff was very helpful while careful to not be too helpful. Did the Prison experience. Highly recommended.
Molly O.The Lab: Room Escape January 12, 2017
Fox in the Box was awesome! A really fun and interesting alternative to just 'hanging' out with friends or co-workers. It is for all levels and very creative -- I can't wait to go back and check out the other rooms.
Alex W.The Lab: Room Escape January 3, 2017
Would actually rate 4.5/5
Did The Lab in a group of six. The room was well done with some great use of the theme in the puzzles and some tricks I hadn't seen before despite doing a few rooms. The whole thing was a little short and linear, and thus better for smaller groups (probably around four would be best). Jessica was a great gamemaster, very friendly and patient. Would come back for another room.
