Today I did the Loop tour with Claire. She was really great providing interesting facts about Chicago history and its architecture. She is really passionate about the city and makes the time fly when talking about Chicago and its building. I really enjoyed the tour, have fun and learned a lot about Chicago and its building. If you have time and want to learn about the city, this is made for you!

Took up the Loop tour. Emir and Mel did a wonderful job with the tour. Most paid tours run by companies are just too commercialized. This one is so personalized, it feels like having a friend that brings you around downtown and telling you stories with actual facts! They are very funny couple and so enthusiastic about their own city Chicago. I can't believe they don't charge anything and they are doing it full time. Do tip them generously.

I had a day free in Chicago before a conference so thought I'd give this a go. Mike, our guide, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We spent 2.5 hours and a 2 mile walk covering local history, some fantastic architecture and other places of interest. I can definately recommend this!

Had searched for unique things to do in Chicago, and this fit the bill.
Mike was very well informed, providing insights to architectural styles and a little history as we walked a mile or so of the downtown loop area. He definitely deserves compensation for his effort.

Great tour by Bill. He doesn't take you through all the conventional "tourist spots" because you'll go there anyway. Great history with some puns mixed in.
+1 for great sights
+1 for comedic interjection

I had some friends visiting from the St. Louis area this weekend and we decided to take the Loop tour. It was an excellent tour, the guide was easy to locate at our meeting spot and even provided us with his contact info when we signed-up in case we needed to reach him. I feel that this tour was better than some of the bus tours because you actually walk to, and spend some time at, the landmarks that the guide discusses. This was an afternoon tour and it went so well that my friends and I decided to sign-up for another tour by this company that same evening. The Michigan Ave and Navy Pier tour was also a hit! It began at 830pm and ended at Navy Pier just in time for us to get a quick snack before the fireworks started. I will recommend these tours to everyone now! Each person gets to decide how much the tour was worth to them, so be sure to 'tip' as you see fit at the end.

Excellent tour by Mike. He accommodated our request to see Chagall and Picasso on the tour. He kept the tour interesting without giving too much information. Will use this company again in our future trips

What a fantastic tour!! Our guide was both entertaining and very knowledgable. He answered all of our questions, and was especially good at keeping the kids engaged. Plus, the "name your own price" policy made it affordable for the whole family -- though we were sure to leave a large and well deserved tip. We will definitely be checking out your tours in other cities! Thanks Chicago by Foot!!!

Last week I went on my first tour with Free Tours by Foot and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The guide was well-educated about the city, but I did not feel like I was overloaded with facts and figures. The stories were interesting and made the city come alive to me.
The price was also really fair since you only pay what you think the tour was worth.
I highly recommend this company if you are looking to spend a relaxing afternoon learning more about the city!
