    Aikido

    (7)
Do people often use the term "waifish" when describing you? Do they joke that you lift off of the ground slightly when a stiff wind blows? Those people are terrible, but they may have a point -- you may not feel like you can protect yourself if you got into a tight place. You do have options though. This aikido class will teach you the art of redirecting an aggressor's energy so that you can defend yourself, while minimizing the damage to another person. You'll be trained how to confidently use joint locks and throws to deal with sticky real life situations. Even better, you'll be taught to relax and develop a healthy body... traits that are always useful.

Sample the products of three different distilling production facilities as you are whisked around town in a one-of-a-kind barrel bus. Your Prohibition-Era expert will help you relive the trials and triumphs of the men and women who made, and continue to make, Chicago one of the country's best destinations for fine liquors! Want to learn about the effect Prohibition laws had on Chicago and how certain gangs developed to facilitate the transport of illegal hooch? Step on your barrel bus through the speakeasy-style, hidden vertical door and start your one-of-a-kind Chicago Distillery Tour. As you're taken from distillery to distillery in this jinty, your guide will provide entertaining and educational insights into the beginning of Chicago's liquor industry during the 1800's. What better way to visit local craft distilleries and sample their wares, than in a Prohibition-Era styled Bus. You'll sample craft spirits at each of the three distilleries. Enjoy whiskey, gin, apple-brandy, vodka, and more, as you try approximately 9-12, locally crafted spirits throughout the tour. On your production facility tour, you'll learn the step-by-step procedures of distilling and the science behind the art. Krav Maga Woman's Self Defense

Although anyone can be the victim of a violent crime, women often face the most brutal types of attacks, including robberies, criminal sexual assaults, and date rape. This women's program will teach you how to safely and effectively fight off attackers of any size and in a variety of realistic situations using a series of combatives such as punches, kicks, and by using your knees and elbows. You will focus on defending against chokes, grabs, bearhugs, and fighting from the ground. Since women are often smaller and appear physically weaker than male attackers, and therefore, face a physical disadvantage, the women's program will emphasize using quick, explosive movements and targeting the vital parts of an attacker's body, while learning how to use your own body weight to generate the most power possible and deliver effective defenses and counter attacks. Finally, this training will help to build up the self-confidence and create the mindset necessary to eliminate fear and self-doubt and, ultimately, survive by any means necessary.
