Wicker Park Food Tour October 8, 2015Went on the Wicker Park tour with my husband and we had a fantastic time! I want to do the River North one next!
Our guide Alyssa was terrific. She was enthusiastic and well informed. The tour company does a nice job of providing a very broad tour - different types of foods, yet still typically Chicago.
We had a lovely sunny day, yet the crispness of fall just sneaking itself in. First stop was donuts which was perfect since we hadn't eaten any breakfast in anticipation of the day. Yummy. Then Chicago deep dish, of course! Wouldn't be Chicago without a dog....both the real ones we saw all over Wicker Park and those kosher ones with savory toppings. Chicken, tacos and dessert rounded out the tour.
A reasonable amount of information about the architecture and neighborhood personality was sprinkled in. In general a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. -

Wicker Park Food Tour September 29, 2015Just wrapped up the Wicker Park tour a few hours ago - had a great guide (Alyssa) who was tremendously knowledgeable. Hit 6 great spots that included bacon donuts, Chicago Pizza, tacos, fried chicken and more. We had a large group of close friends which made it all the more fun. Book this with confidence - these guys are the real deal. We've also taken their tour in New York City of the Greenwich Village neighborhood and it was absolutely outstanding. A "must do!"
The tour takes you through both the business districts and residential areas of Wicker Park, and the guide explains the sights and history as you walk from food stop to food stop. A fun mix of learning and eating. -

Wicker Park Food Tour September 4, 2015We did the Wicker Park tour and it was delightful. I am from Chicago and took my mom who was visiting. It was a great way to share some knowledge about this neighborhood and get some tasty bites from unique restaurants that really showcase Chicago food. You receive small tastings from each of the 6 locations visited. Don't be fooled, it may be a tiny piece of pizza, but after visiting all the restaurants I was good for the day. We went on a rainy day but it didn't deter the tour at all.

Wicker Park Food Tour January 8, 2015I was extremely excited when I saw a deal for the sidewalk food tour in wicker park. As a local who lives in the neighborhood - I was curious to see the restaurant choices since we have about 100 highly rated local spots.
And the food tour did an INCREDIBLE job choosing the top food spots in Wicker Park. The taste portions were a good fill until we hit all the spots. I really enjoyed the element of the walking tour because we covered a good portion of the neighborhood and also received an awesome history lesson. I highly recommend the tour to all locals and visitors. Great job and can't wait to do it again next year!!! -

Wicker Park Food Tour June 24, 2014I've been on both the River North and Wicker Park food tours. Both were excellent. Today we were in Wicker Park with our guide Ashley. She was wonderful - knowledgeable, energetic, and fun. We started with a huge 1/2 donut from Glazed & Infused...yum. We were on our way to 3 hours of interesting facts about Wicker Park, down some of the side streets to see the architecture, and inside some restaurants that I would never have known about. Chop Shop was really cool and had great meatballs. Antique Taco has the best tacos, and the coconut margarita wasn't too bad either. I can't say enough good stuff about these tours. They are a great way to learn about a part of the city, explore some new restaurants and enjoy some delicious food. Well done!

Wicker Park Food Tour June 15, 2014This is a great way to explore Wicker Park! As a vegetarian, I didn't think I would really enjoy a food tour in the city that stopped at so many meat-themed places, but Sidewalk Food Tours of Chicago made great accommodations for me! This tour was a great mix of history, culture and food...even if you know the wicker park area, you'll definitely still be able to learn something new! It was a very cool mix of major streets and more residential areas, and Ashley (our awesome tour guide) had plenty of visual aids to show off as we went. By far, Antique Taco was my favorite stop and I'll totally go back there. Ashley said it was her goal for us to leave the tour feeling full and like we learned something. Mission accomplished!
