Follow along as a professional chef takes you on a trip south of the border. You’ll work alongside classmates to create Mexican dishes like chorizo and mushroom queso fundido, chicken with ancho-spiced mole sauce and steamed rice, and lime and coconut cupcakes with dulce de leche frosting. As you cook up each recipe, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of Mexican ingredients and how to balance their unique flavors. You’ll also practice culinary techniques such as selecting and sautéing chorizo, determining meat doneness, preparing cake batter, and working with dulce de leche. When you’ve finished, you’ll sit down with classmates to enjoy the satisfying taste of a job well done.

Note: Teens 12 and up are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult to participate.
