This gentle dance, based on mental and physical fluidity, is roughly translated as “the root of all motion” or “optimal fist fighting.”

You’ll learn to cultivate soft strength, and to restrain your opponent’s power, using it against him or her. The practice will improve your health as you build body strength and moral character. Your ability to concentrate mentally will also grow sharper.

In China, it is believed that tai chi can cure illnesses and prolong one’s life. No guarantees that you’ve found the Fountain of Youth with tai chi, but your body will surely thank you for the hour of zen exercise!
