This class improves the notion of dance therapy by leaps and bounds. The practice taught in this class comes from a lineage of shamanic dances designed to strengthen the spiritual self.
You'll be engaging in a free form dance style built around joyful motions designed to cycle energy throughout your body. As such, you'll be dancing to gentle world music which will inspire and uplift.
Just as in mediation, the mental health gains of this class are holistic in nature, ranging from decreased depression and stress, to providing confidence, balancing of emotion, and broadening of perspective. Plus you'll get the additional benefit of some light, low-impact exercise.
