As you counter hypothetical attacks, you'll learn to maneuver your sword with precise, refined posture, movement, grip, and swing. In addition to working on your sword technique, you will develop the concentration and imagination necessary to summon up the exhilaration of a real fight. En Garde's "try-it-out" class is designed as a thirty-minute sampler to help newcomers find out what fencing is all about. You'll suit up and learn the basic nomenclature and rules of the sport, plus learn a few fundamental moves! Your thirty minute trial takes place prior to a regular adult class, meaning if you decide to add the rapier to your repertoire, you can keep going for another hour! Bet you'll look pretty sharp in all that fencing gear, too.
