    Defensive Shooting (E/F) - Malfunctions & Marksmanship

    Defensive Shooting is a situation we hope you’ll never find yourself in, but you never know when the zombie apocalypse might strike in LA. This course is the beginners level in Artemis Defense Institute’s Tactical Achievement Objective (TAO) series. Every two hour session contains two modules, each beginning with a presentation followed by hands-on practical drills. There you will focus on a specific skill set, in this case modules E and F: Module A - Grip, Stance, 5 Count Presentation & Sight Alignment Module B - Trigger Control, Follow Through and Shooting Drills Module C - Self Corrections and Movement Drills Module D - Admin, Speed, Tactical Reloads & Drills Module E - Malfunctions: Class 1, 2 & 3 and Drills Module F - Marksmanship Accuracy vs. Defensive Combat Accuracy and Drills After this class, not only will you feel more prepared for any zombies that might come your way, but you’ll also have taken the proper steps to ensure the safest methods of defense. The chances you’ll ever need to use these skills are slim, but it never hurts to expand your survival skills. Please remember that guns are not toys and should always be kept in a safe place away from children and visitors.     Roda

    Dancing, singing, games -- sounds more like summer camp than an incredible, life-affirming workout. If that’s the case, you must not have heard of Capoeira, a martial art-musical hybrid! Capoeira Mandingueiro brings this Roda all levels lesson, which builds on traditional Capoeira. Capoeira is a form of combat that combines dancing and fighting and was originally used to conceal the true intent of the movements. Roda is when two capoeiristas compete against each other to try to trick their opponent. While discovering this old Brazilian combat method, you’ll strengthen and condition your body, and increase agility. This intensive workout barely feels like an exercise at all -- after all, you’re essentially dancing! Roda is considered a “jogo”, or game, where a participant tries to play tricks on his or her opponent. The dance fighting is accompanied by music and singing, so everyone has rhythmic encouragement to keep moving. Music, singing, games? Sounds like a can’t miss.
