Here, you'll learn the fundamentals of Siljun Dobup, a form of iaido which literally translates as "real sword training." Your practice will focus on the drawing and sheathing of the blade as well as executing the perfect cut. You will begin training with a wooden practice sword and will not be practicing against live opponents in this class. Unlike many forms of iaido, which are practiced from a kneeling position, Siljun Dobup primarily begins from a neutral standing position, making it easy to practice for practitioners of all ages.
