This Grand Canyon day trip from Flagstaff or Sedona blends ancient ruins, lava fields, majestic volcanoes and amazing views throughout Grand Canyon National Park and the remarkable Painted Desert. Drive along the Grand Canyon South Rim and East Rim by air-conditioned mini-coach and stop at lookout points to soak up dramatic vistas. Throughout your tour, you'll learn about Arizona's history, archaeology, geology and flora and fauna from your expert guide. Rise and shine for early-morning pickup from your Flagstaff or Seodna hotel. You'll be taken by mini-coach through to the Grand Canyon National Park. First, visit Wupatki National Monument, wherein lies the remarkable ruins of the ancient Native American civilization of Sinagua, who lived here for 400 years but then vanished without a trace. As your guide will explain, these ancient desert dwellers witnessed the dramatic eruption of Sunset Crater Volcano nearly a millennium ago, which destroyed their homes and forced them out. Learn about the eruption of Sunset Crater as you visit nearby Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, where you'll see the expansive fields of lava you've just heard about. At midday, head to the historic Cameron Trading Post for a sit-down lunch at the restaurant. Chat with your fellow travelers as you enjoy a wonderful Navajo taco lunch which blends American, Native American and Mexican cuisine in the spacious dining room adorned with antique cabinets and Native American art including Navajo rugs and baskets. Enjoy the view of the Little Colorado River Gorge from the deck or warm up next to the fireplace. After lunch, hop back in the mini-coach and venture into the Grand Canyon for an afternoon of exploring this magnificent natural wonder. This portion of the tour includes stupendous views from Grand Canyon National Park's East Rim and South Rim. Stop at lookout points to soak up dramatic vistas of the canyon and gorges below, and have free time to explore at your own pace by foot. Keep an eye out for wildlife including the endangered California Condor. Throughout your tour, your expert guide will teach you about the history, archaeology, geology and flora and fauna of Grand Canyon National Park and Arizona as a whole. Tucson ATV Tour (Single)

Why sit on your couch and watch a TV when you can take on the wilderness on an ATV! Hop on an ATV and explore the mountains and canyons of Arizona with an experienced guide. You'll have about three and a half hours to traverse 34 miles of rocky terrain. As you climb up and over the Pinal Mountains, your guide will point out petroglyphs left over from the ancient Native Americans. Along the way you'll see an old adobe building that served as a way station for the Butterfield Overland Stage Coach Company during the 1860s. For a short time this also serviced the Pony Express on what was known as the "Butterfield Route." But the real highlight of the tour are the six miles inside Box Canyon. The middle section is a slot canyon with walls that are about 1500 feet high on both sides and only about 15-20 feet apart in some places. Talk about a tight squeeze! The scenery throughout the entire ride is incredible -- this is one tour you don't want to miss. Save the channel surfing for some other day.
