You may be visiting the nation’s most famous dam, but this is one tour that isn’t watered down.
You’ll be picked up in Las Vegas and transported to the Hoover Dam via a 12-passenger vehicle built for desert touring. Once on location, you’ll enjoy an historical film presentation and access to hands-on exhibits to learn about the efforts and physics behind the dam.
Afterwards, you’re off to explore the dam itself. You’ll get to enjoy sweeping views from atop its 700-foot high expanse, and descend into the cavernous dam for a look at its inner workings. After whetting your appetite, you’ll embark on the most exciting leg of this journey: a rafting trip down the Colorado river that will give you up-close looks at the Hoover Dam and the surreal landscape of the Black Canyon rising on either side.
After this luxurious and invigorating float, you’ll make one final stop at the O’Callaghan-Tillman Bridge - the second highest bridge in the states - for a final look back at the majestic dam.
They call it the Hoover, but it sure doesn’t suck.
