Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that mixes dance and acrobatic movements with the fight. It uses live music, singing and playfulness of the dance to disguise the fighting techniques. Beyond the actual kicks, dips, and spins, you will learn about capoeira’s history and philosophy through the music sung in Portuguese and played with traditional capoeira instruments. Whether you’ve never done capoeira before or you’re looking for a new place to continue your practice, you’ll develop strength and increase flexibility while building endurance, balance, coordination, and rhythm in a healthy and supportive environment. Prepare to be challenged and allow yourself to grow.
