The Lair Escape Room

My friends and I did an escape room here last Friday and loved it! It was our first time, so it took us a bit to get into the swing of it, but we all really enjoyed the experience. The puzzles were well thought out, challenging without being overly frustrating, and the staff was engaging and kind. I highly recommend it and would absolutely come back to try out the other room.

I've done both rooms, The Lair and The Den, and I've come back to do The Den again because it's an awesome experience and there's so much to do in that room I wanted to do it all! Ive had so much fun escaping from these rooms with friends! I definitely recommend Escapedom for all your escape room fun-having needs!

Really good escape room, nice use of tech and friendly staff. Deserves to be visited and I'm excited to see what their next room is like.

The Lair Escape Room

I have done several escape rooms in the past few months, and this place was one of the best, overall, that I've been to. Today 5 friends and I did both of their rooms, "The Lair" and "The Den", back to back, and the two rooms are different enough to where it didn't get tiring.
The puzzles in "The Lair" were linear so I felt like the only thing I missed out on was the initial scramble to find the clues in the environment, once that was done the group worked as a team to put the clues together and progress from puzzle to puzzle to get out.
"The Den", however, was not linear, so while I worked on a puzzle with a friend, the rest of our group was solving the other puzzles in the room. You miss out on a lot of puzzles if you don't decide to go into the room and solve the puzzles one by one as a group, but as we were leaving we were stoked to come back and do it again.
I was extremely impressed with the amount of tech that was utilized in the puzzles, the past few rooms that I've done were low tech comparatively, so it was a really neat surprise. If you go into the rooms, don't try to force things to open as you will miss out on the magic designed to reward the correct solution of the puzzle.
The lobby is decorated wonderfully and creates a great ambiance while you are waiting to start the game.
Parking can be a B, but it's LA so this should come as no surprise to anyone.
Definitely worth checking this place out!

Recently reached out to ESCAPEDOM to set up a fun interoffice competition and they were nothing but accommodating. WE were able to book the same room for one night per week for a month straight. All o my coworkers each week were guessing if the week prior had escaped or not. Really helped with team building and healthy office competition. Reserving and paying for the room was easy and simple. If I had a question, the response was swift and efficient.
We booked "The Lair" and overall room design was great, clues where challenging, and didn't fell overwhelmed with "stuff". Each group found something different that helped them advance to the next phase.
Cannot express the appreciation for the entire team that helped pull off this event. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Cannot wait to bring in the next group and see if they can escape!

Great experience. It was my first time and I was with 4 people I didn't know. I had no idea what was going on the entire time, but its something I would love to try again.

I really enjoyed going to the escapedom in Westwood. The staff is great, friendly, and most importantly... funny. I booked the the den of the occult and went with 4 friends . That particular room was a great and required effort from us as a team, and made us communicate more effectively as a team .

One word... EXHILARATING! This was my first ever escape room and WE FAILED. However, we are now hooked on it and might need to do an escape room every week. Our host, Tim, was great and had so much enthusiasm. There were so many surprises in the room we were in with so many unexpected challenges. WHAT FUN! Will have to schedule one this week.

This place is top of the line when it comes to escape rooms.
I've done over a dozen rooms at many different locations across Los Angeles (and a few other areas) and the rooms here are much better than most. I did both rooms here, THE LAIR and THE DEN. They were totally creative, challenging, and fun.
Arrival. It's tucked away between shops on a strip off Westwood Boulevard. Perfect to walk to grab a slice of pizza or something after you finish the room. You walk in, go upstairs and enter a nicely decorated lobby room. Curtains and comfortable chairs.
Staff. The hosts are the best part of this room. One of the only escape room businesses that make you laugh by preparing you for the rooms and explaining the rules. Tim and Trevor are great and really made everything a lot of fun.
The Lair. This is their FBI room. You really feel the time ticking down here -- literally, because you are trying to defuse a bomb by the end. This one is high energy and you feel like you're in a secret agent movie trying to solve all the puzzles which lead you to the end. Some escape rooms lack that "story" element that makes them so fun. This one has it and is perfect.
The Den. This is their Witch room. Unlike the other one, there is no countdown clock visible (though they remind you of your remaining time). So everything feels slower. But in a cool way. You totally get absorbed into the room. Unlike other witch rooms, this one isn't pitch black and scary. It's much more clever and has a lot of riddles to solve. Lots of secrets pop up in this room and it's fun until the very end.
I believe they plan to open a third room and I can't wait to try it.

The Lair Escape Room

I've been to several escape rooms in OC, but Escapedom might have been one of the funnest rooms I've done! A group of 6 of us did The Lair room, and everyone had to be very involved and split up the work for all the puzzles. Puzzles were tricky, but fun to figure out- it wasn't quite riddle-y as some other rooms, but more puzzle-y? For example, the room involved more deciphering, matching-up clues, and moving things around vs. riddles and poems to solve. Anyway, it was a really interactive experience, our host was supa helpful and welcoming, and we defused the bomb with 50sec to go! Exciting stuff, seriously.
Also, they took a photo of our group, and I want to save it forever. Can you post it on Instagram?
I read some other reviews, and my only constructive criticism is that the walky talkie made it difficult to hear our host.
So fun! Woooooo
