You love living your fast paced life, but let’s face it, the microwaved meals are getting to be a little old. During this Donburi Rice Bowl class, you’ll learn to make a traditional Japanese “fast food” dish that’s easy to make as well as healthy. While you cook, your instructor will regale you with the history of this famous food. Donburi is a single bowl dish combining rice, veggies and protein. You will also make a big batch of vegetable soup and a pickle that will serve you for the next 3-4 days if you make them once. Your full menu includes simmered chicken and egg with dashi stock (Oyako-don), beef bowl (Gyu-don), marinated sashimi (Zuke-don), Japanese curry-don, spicy tofu and ground meat (Mabo-don), and soup with pickle. This fit dish only takes about 30 minutes to make, and you’ll have enough leftovers to last for days.

Note: All skill levels are welcome, but you must be at 21 years of age to register. Children may attend if accompanied by an adult.
