Come one, come all, and learn the traditional art of hula dancing! In this class, you will learn both the ancient form of hula, kahiko, and modern hula, auana. You will begin class with drills in basic hula steps and movements, ensuring that you master the proper form. From there, you will put individual moves into combinations, piecing together full dances. The movements are practiced at a slower pace than normal, to make sure that you get all of the choreography down packed. This is an incredible way to build strength in your legs and core, gain endurance, and improve your rhythm. You will also learn how to greet your classmates in Hawaiian, helping you to get an in-depth cultural experience.
Note: This is a free trial class for first time students only. This class is for men and boys ages 13 and up.
