  Wedding Dance Lessons June 9, 2017

  We recently got married and decided to surprise our guests with our first dance and a surprise dance at our wedding celebration. We chose the VIP package and were very pleased with the outcome.
  
  We developed a stronger connection between my husband and I which made it a lot easier for us in the dance floor. Chi is very professional, talented and charismatic. He was very patient with us at all times. He was able to work with us and our busy schedule between work and wedding planing.
  
  Yani was also amazing, she was very patient and made sure we felt comfortable and understood every step in the choreography.
  
  Our guests cheered at all times during our first dance and our bachata. We felt confident and enjoyed it very much! our guests were astonished and applauded at all times.
  
  iDanceAcadamy is strongly recommended, the location is so convenient as it's in the heart of DTLA. Instructors are professional and they truly help you understand the steps.
  
  Thank you Chi and Yani for your amazing work! we will definitely consider iDanceAcademy for our next event.!!

  Chi Szeto is an excellent instructor. I have been hired to assist in couching and teaching dance to his clients, and he was extremely professional and fun to work with. He gave equal attention to his four dancers in the studio, and was completely clear with leading steps and clients picked up the club dancing quality quickly due to his patients and guiding attention.

  Chi' and Tibor's classes are great. I feel very comfortable in the class even though I have zero experience in dancing. I feel, I'm getting better with each session and no longer feel awkward when I'm dancing. I'd Say anyone who's completely new to dancing or want to improve should come.

  When we first met Chi, we didn't really know what we wanted. All we knew was that we wanted to look good for our first dance at our wedding on NYE. After that first visit, we were hooked on dancing. We picked our first song which was It Had To Be You from When Harry Met Sally. Chi is so versatile that he choreographed an old song and made it hip and fun to dance to. Two non dancing people really looked forward to our lessons each week. It was like a date night every week with dancing and a nice dinner after. When the time finally came for us to perform at our wedding, we felt like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. It was a hit. Thank you Chi. For anyone looking for a dance studio, wanting to learn some dance moves, or just looking for an excuse to have a date night in downtown LA, go visit iDanceAcademy.

  The training is great because when you get one on one time, he gives you a lot of individual advice to critique your moves. There are lots of areas expert advice: from the movement of your hips, hand and legs, to the posture of your head and back. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to improve as soon as possible.

  Wedding Dance Lessons August 5, 2016

  We worked with Chi to develop a simple but elegant first dance for our wedding. My husband had two left feet and trouble counting the beats, but Chi was able to put the moves together in a way that he could understand and execute. We participated in 4 lessons, and the end result at our wedding turned out fantastic. We could not have been happier. This is especially worth investing in if you are considering to hire a videographer. The dance may last a couple minutes, but the memory will last a lifetime. Thanks Chi!

  I recently took Chi's club dancing bootcamp in SF and it was a AWESOME experience. He was a patient teacher and his dance girls were professional as well as encouraging. Like most of the students, I came in as a beginner but by the end of the evening at the club, I was definitely grooving.

  I did a private class last Thursday, my issue is I'm not very confident but have decent rhythm. I shared this with Chi, the instructor, and he fully understood! He made me feel so comfortable and proved to me that I could dance my ass off. I am going to continue going to his class for at least 3 months so I could kill it!! Thank you dance instructor!! What a blast!

  Have never posted a review before but absolutely compelled to for iDance Academy. Work with Yani for salsa lessons and she's great, super accommodating and a tremendous teacher. Danny that works in the operations is basically at your beck and call, ready to switch around lesson times and dates at a moment's whim. Can't recommend these guys enough. If you're looking to learn how to get your groove on at least give these guys a shot. You will not be disappointed!

  Hip-Hop Choreography April 11, 2015

  Took the hip hop class today taught by Chase Lihilihi. The dance piece was super cool and fun to learn! Chase is a wonderful choreographer and really catered to the pace that was comfortable for us to learn. Chi is the main guy that runs the studio. He is very friendly and works with what styles of dances you are interested in. The whole studio offers a great learning environment for anyone first time dancing or experienced or trying to get back into dancing :)

  Chi was awesome! Gave me and My date a great class last minute at 10pm. He was fun and understood the difficulties of being a beginner well. He is not as cheap as other dance instructors but the extra money pays off in efficiency.

  He made it so easy to learn how to dance, giving step by step instruction. Super friendly and exciting. Amazing dance instructor, definitely recommend for anyone wanting to learn to dance.

  Started tonight and I love this class!! Attentive instructor. Real nice guy too.
  
  I'm taking the beginner's class (Wed. 7:30pm-8:30pm)--this class is more focused on someone that has zero experience in dancing (like myself) and would like to dip their toe into it (keep in mind this class plays club type of music).
  
  I recommend him completely.

  I'm already confident with my dancing before I took lessons with Chi. But then Chi pointed out subtle things that I was doing awkwardly. They were really helpful because I feel like a smoother dancer after taking a couple lessons with him. Chi has a really good energy when he dances and he gives me that inspiration to have fun on the dance floor.

  I took an intro course with instructor Chi and was able to use it at the clubs. He breaks down the moves into basic categories and add some small variation to create the illustration you really know a lot when its just the same moves. I learned about how to move with the beat, stance, hip movement, arms, and waist. Also, he showed us how to engage and move the girl around the floor and how to put the girls arms around your neck and dance very close. Overall I am very satisfied with his teaching and looking forward to learning more. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for some cool moves in the clubs/night life.

  I've been intimidated by the dance floor my entire life. I think a lot of that has to do with my height -- it's hard for the guy who's 6'4" tall to blend in, so I feel even more self conscious about everyone watching me on the dance floor. When I came across an opportunity to learn how to dance, I decided it was time to face this head on.
  
  Chi is an amazing teacher and I love the way he tailors his lessons to each individual student. He's given me several invaluable tips about how to adjust my dancing based on my height. His instructions are always clear and easy to pick up. I also love the way he teaches several basic concepts and "layers" that can then be combined on the dance floor.
  
  After only a few lessons, my dancing confidence is at an all time high and I can't wait to hit the dance floor to show everyone my moves. I'd highly recommend Chi to anyone who wants to learn or improve their dancing!

  I came to IDanceAcademy to learn hip-hop dance and to be confident in my body as an actor. Even though it was mainly for acting and movement, I have achieved my goals and so much more with Chi.   Wedding Dance Lessons April 25, 2014

  LEPA Performing Arts company rehearsed at iDance two Sundays ago. It was great. It was an intimate setting. It provided a great opportunity to rehearse our showcase with no interruptions. There's enough room for your performers (15), musicians, dj and your guest, though cozy. Chi was very kind and professional. He gave me the once around (instructions/how to's) and left us to our rehearsal. If you're looking for a quiet private place to get your artwork done (choreography, song, drama), iDance is the perfect place for you. We look forward to returning again soon.

  I've always been afraid to dance whether it be a wedding, party, or club. Whenever I tried I would get anxious and very self conscious about the way I look to people. I felt people would stare at me knowing I wasn't comfortable on the dance floor. I went online to find some dance studios that I can take classes at and found a few. I came across Chi and iDanceAcademy and liked the idea of having private lessons in hip hop and social dance. Upon arriving I told Chi I wanted to have confidence on the dance floor and essentially be comfortable in that type of social setting.
  
  I explained to him that I had went out on a few dates in which I was put in a position to dance and felt awkward about it. I would try and hide behind the girl most of the time just grinding but realized it gets boring after too long.
  
  What I love about Chi is his teaching style. The one on one interaction you get is way more valuable than just watching videos. You get on the spot feedback. I also liked that he would not be afraid to correct me multiple times if the dance still doesn't look or feel right. He is very patient and will look for new ways to help you better understand the technique he is teaching. After one session I walked away in a much better state than when I first walked in.
  
  My 4 sessions with Chi were valuable and I have been able to go to clubs with my friends and dance in a social circle without feeling awkward. In fact, I brought more energy to the dance floor than they did and this was due to the confidence I built at iDanceAcademy.

  I was literally AMAZED with how smooth and ingenious Chi's dance style is. Approaching girls in the club while dancing has changed for me since his classes and his videos. Worth every penny. It's very hard to find info like this elsewhere but Chi is the best at what he does. The best thing I liked about it was that he teaches charisma and confidence at the same time as he teaches dance.
  
  Incredible class. Anyone looking to attract ladies on the dance floor needs to get in touch with this guy. He knows so much.
