Got a way with words and a mind for meditation? Then you couldn't write this one up any better!
Join a community of writers for a sitting group that explores the intersections of mindful awareness and creativity, and you'll not only have the chance to clear your mind with a silent meditation session, but revamp your approach writing in the proces!
Meditation has long been known to bolster mental focus and clarity, as well as improve emotional balance. Not that writers ever have a problem with emotional balance!
Following the meditation, you'll partake in open discussion about mindfulness and what it means to the writer, develop your skills with creative writing exercises, and share your ongoing projects.
It's time to close the book on writer's block!
Sessions are led by Amy Spies, who is not only a longtime practitioner of meditation, but a writer and producer with over 30 years of work in the various media outlets, including film and television.
Note: This is a free trial class.
