Swing January 1, 2017When it comes to private dance lessons I have never met a more dedicated dance teacher than Stew. He absolutely loves what he's doing and that shows in his attitude and in the whole atmosphere. He's incredibly nice and warm and goes out of his way to accommodate any needs. He can teach any level and even though he's one of the most experienced dance teachers all around LA, he's amazingly good with beginners as well and breaks down every step explaining WHY you need to do certain moves and takes all the necessary time for his student to understand what they need to do. Lessons are always fun and you advance in no time. Always a pleasure to work with him.

Salsa June 1, 2016My fiancee and I purchased a special for six dance classes to learn a dance for our wedding. We had a great time for our first session. We learned a lot and had a blast. We look forward to our next five classes!

Salsa May 31, 2016Stew is very knowledgeable and he teaches his classes in a fun and welcoming manner that is relevant to all skill sets. He speaks to more-experienced dancers in their lingo as needed, which I'm sure they appreciate. As for me, I'm a big lug and he puts things in layman's terms as I need them. And he's hilarious and fun to be around. His classes are an absolute blast. What a great find.

Salsa December 10, 2015Oh my god oh my god oh my god!!! Best dance studio around! Instructors are amazing and I have the time of my life when I am there. I am new to swing and salsa but dance instructor Stew knows how to break everything down so that I can pick up the moves AND have fun while learning. I have been to studios before where the teachers made me fee like I had 2 left feet but he makes me alive. I have since started dragging my friends with me and spend our week nights learning new steps to try out on the dance floor on the weekends. If you want to have a blast and learn some new moves to try out on the dance floor OR for your wedding ... You have to come here

Salsa October 30, 2015Stew is the owner and instructor at LA Dance Central. He's incredible. Such an awesome, genuine, fun guy, and a heck of a teacher. He taught my 2 left feet to dance better within 3 minutes. I've got about the rhythm of a rock prior to hanging with Stew, so I'm less than a beginner. He makes you comfortable, makes it fun, and the progress is crazy to me. I really can't imagine a better dance teacher. Not to mention he's an absolute expert who's been doing it all his life.
Thanks Stew! You're the man!! -

This is just the combination we were looking for - professional instruction with a friendly atmosphere. YAY!

Swing June 1, 2015My husband and I love this studio! Stew is the best instructor ever! He is fun, easy going, and makes every class very enjoyable. At the same time, he is an incredible instructor who knows how to clearly explain the new moves and techniques to students of all ages and levels, so they will feel good about learning something new every time they leave the studio. If you want to learn to dance or wish to become a better dancer, you should check the LA Dance Central out. Highly recommended!

Swing March 4, 2015This place is the best! The new studio is beautiful and always filled with dancers and great energy. The classes are a nice small size and they offer private lessons for two which is a lot of fun and helps you learn faster. Stew is my favorite teacher, he's what keeps us coming back for more. We started out on a groupon, then came back to learn a dance for our wedding, and now we are learning swing and hustle just for the fun of it. Even my husband who was never a dancer before can pick up the skills and get into the lessons because of Stew's unique personal way of teaching! I can't recommend enough!!!

Swing February 18, 2015"Gotta dance!" That's what I said when I met dance instructor extraordinaire Stew Hartman at LA Dance Central in Burbank. I'm sorta rigid and uncoordinated, but I begged Stew to help me prepare for an ocean cruise where, as a single middle-aged man aboard a ship full of widows, I suspected that I would be summoned to the ballroom for a foxtrot or waltz. In a matter of just a few weeks, Stew had me ready to cut a rug (or at least a remnant) among the lovely antiques and their oxygen tanks. He gave me the steps and the self-confidence to be poised and calm. Alas, no marriage proposals resulted, but I still had a blast!
THANK YOU, STEW!!!
