Magicopolis: Magic Show May 31, 2017A magic show at Magicopolis is tons of fun. All ages can enjoy the show so it's a great show to go for a birthday or large group event. They serve drinks in the foyer before they seat you and it's a great way to mingle. Steve, the magician is terrific! He's funny and the magic tricks are really impressive. They do some great story telling which adds a unique twist on just showing trick after trick. Audience interaction is great and super funny!

Magicopolis: Magic Show May 29, 2017I hate magic shows. I hate not knowing how the tricks are done and "magicians never tell..." but I went to Magicopolis on an invitation from really dear friends and I ended up having a great time. I've lived in the area for 17 years and never stepped foot inside this place, though I always felt a little something special, nostalgic, passing by and I've always been curious about it.
I love the feeling when you walk in, like stepping back in time. We headed straight for the bar and were the only ones there (we were kinda early). A tall bearded man stepped out of nowhere to pour our drinks with a deck of cards in hand performing quick tricks while we decided what to order.
Behind the bar hangs giant vintage magic-themed movie posters, cards on the ceiling, and across the way was a snack bar that also sells magic stuff, tricks, props, etc.
I found myself giggling through the whole show. Magician Steve is casual and funny and doesn't try to put on any of that fake "woo woo" cape flipping mysteriouso stuff. His assistant was charming and goofy and they both sort of have a self awareness of the corniness and make you feel like you're all in on the joke. The funny thing is, he totally looks like some kind of wizard lost in time. He totally won me over and by the cackling of the kids in the theatre, I knew he had them too.

Magicopolis: Magic Show (Matinee) May 28, 2017Checked out the show at the suggestion of a friend & I can definitely say that I was entertained. I even got a brief magic show at the bar when we ordered drinks. Steve and his magical team were very professional & and friendly. I like their interaction with the audience, especially the kids. The tricks ranged from sleight of hand fun to elaborate & death defying. I'm still scratching my head, wondering "How'd they do that?"

Magicopolis: Magic Show March 24, 2017Everything about tonight was amazing! My husband and I booked a Friday night show for 8 pm. We've been to the Magic Castle a few times before, so our standards were pretty high. We arrived at 7:30 to pick up our tickets at Will call. We went over to the bar before the show and the bartender did quite a few card tricks for us while we sipped our drinks. We've seen one of the card tricks with street performers before, but Daddy C (the bartender) kept us very entertained while we waited the 30 minutes.
Steve and his lovely wife gave us an amazing show for the 2 hours! We definitely plan on coming back with more friends and family! Every magic trick Steve did was absolutely amazing!! Way better than anything in Vegas and almost equivalent to what we expect when we're at the Magic Castle!! -

Magicopolis: Magic Show January 29, 2017This is a fun family oriented magic show/venue. They warm up the audience with some table tricks in the lobby. Then the audience proceeds to the large theatre area where Steve does some of the classic magic such as levitation, card tricks and a Houdini type escape as a finale.
The place is beautifully decorated with classic signage from the magic industry. -

Magicopolis: Magic Show (Matinee) March 13, 2016The place is great. You get your tickets at the front when you arrive. There is a bar with wine and beer and I think there is popcorn and a few others snacks you can purchase.
The show was pretty good. I just want to point out right away that there is quite a lot of audience participation (in case you are or aren't into that).
The bartender is quite entertaining with his card tricks. I did however, find he was a bit rude at some points, but I couldn't tell if that was his personality or part of his bar tending-show.
The performance is fairly funny and entertaining. I have been to several magic shows and it is not at the same level like the performers in Las Vegas. However, they did quite a few tricks that stumped me.

Magicopolis: Magic Show February 22, 2016This is walking distance from Third Street Promenade. Arrive early to see some up close magic. They have a bar inside. They also sell small snacks and food items but overpriced. Its like an old school theatre magic show but very entertaining! The place was half full on a Friday night but I think people just don't know about this place. The show is about two hours with a 10 or 15 minutes intermission in between. Steve is awesome and funny. Good for all ages. Fun times. I would return and bring other friends.

Magicopolis: Magic Show February 21, 2016This place is a bargain for a great evening. While waiting for the show to start we were entertained by the three men working at the bar and magic shop. What made the show so fantastic was the very funny delivery of the tricks. Better then any movie we could have went to. I will for sure be back when we have out of town guest. And it makes for a awesome date night. Very unique experience.

Magicopolis: Magic Show (Matinee) December 30, 2015Went to the Sunday Matinee show... this was so much fun and a very unique outing. A fun all around afternoon. The magic isn't flawless but they make it fun for everyone with lots of audience participation and a few big tricks. The grandparents loved it, the kids loved it and we had a great time. It seems to be a kind of family run show with a lot of cheesy jokes.
I also have to say that they were very nice to us after a mix up with the dates of our tickets that was entirely my fault. Good people and a good show... check it out! -

Magicopolis: Magic Show August 8, 2015My boyfriend had gotten tickets from school to go see the show and honestly I wasn't sure if I was gonna have fun but omg it was such a great show!! It was So fun and hilarious! Steve is honestly so amazing at what he does and you can tell he loves what he does!! The magic tricks were crazy and really mind f@&$ you lol. I honestly couldn't tell how he did most of them..blame it on the alcohol! But honestly it's a really fun show to go see with a couple friends or even take kids too!! He really involves the crowd and makes it an amazing experience whether your into magic or not. Will defiantly come back soon!
