Jiu Jitsu is a unique, scenario-based self-defense art that teaches you how to respond to realistic situations with minimal effort, using principles of physics, balance, and knowledge of the human anatomy. In this class, you’ll learn the basic stances, takedowns, and strikes of this martial art from a professional, as you begin to see a vast improvement in your stamina, strength, and muscle tone. On top of getting a great workout, you will leave this class confidently equipped with the proper footwork and body positioning to deflect the force of any attack, no matter the size of your opponent!
Note: This is a free trial class for first time students only.
What to expect
- Become familiar with the basic tenants of Jiu Jitsu, a martial art and useful self-defense system
- Learn proper stances, strikes, takedowns, and timing
- Develop a keen knowledge of yourself as you improve your speed and stamina
- Practice a useful new set of skills in an encouraging and welcoming environment
