This is great for a group of 10 or more for a private tour! It was really fun going back into the kitchen to learn about the food (East LA Latin Flavors Food & Culture Tour).

Amazing Tastes of East Los Angeles
As native Westside Angelinos, we rarely have an opportunity to spend some time east of downtown. Our travels take us through and around East Los Angeles--while we know it's there, it's not part of our everyday experience. What a treat it was to spend several hours there on our tour with our fantastic guide, Andrew. We had the best churros, tamales and birria that we have ever eaten, and we're sure to go back for more!! Andrew's enthusiasm was matched by his knowledge of the history of East LA. We definitely plan to take the other Melting Pot tours--thanks for a fantastic day!!

TAKE. ANY. TOUR. THEY. OFFER!
If you only have time in Los Angeles for one tour, this is the company you need to take it with. Lisa and Diane, sisters who started the company, are amazing. They have a firm business philosophy of treating their guests how they would want to be treated and they went out of their way to help me switch a tour that I scheduled for a wrong day.
My husband, 13 year old step daughter, and I took the East LA Latin Flavors tour and loved every moment of it. We heard stories of families that started their businesses generations ago from nothing and are now permanent parts of this community. And the food. Oh the GLORIOUS food! We got to taste authentic Latin foods from establishments that care about their family's traditions and culture. Diane also gave us recommendations of other must-try restaurants during our stay. I am going to see if we can book other tours before we have to fly home. GREAT JOB MELTING POT TOURS!

Eating with others brings the world a little closer!
I recently visited Los Angeles on vacation and had the chance to take two fantastic food tours from Melting Pot Food Tours: Old Pasadena and the East LA Latin Food Tour. Both were excellent with fantastic guides Nick and Barbara!
I own my own food tour business in Glasgow, Scotland (The Wee Food Tour) and it always pleases me to go on food tours even when I am on vacation. It is also the best way to support local businesses.
Food tours are definitely the future of tourism and the best way to get to know an area and it's people. Thanks for a fun weekend!

Really enjoyed the East LA food tour. Living on the Westside of LA, we don't get the chance to see this part of LA much. We were pleasantly surprised and treated to some great food as well as learned a little more about our City of Angels!

This was my third tour with Melting Pot Food Tours. We had a great time with the Pasadena and Farmers Market tours and thought we would try East Los Angeles. We were not disappointed. All our guides with Food Tours were knowledgable and enthusiastic. Andrew was no exception. The guides really enjoy what they do, and it shows. The food was wonderul, the locations were fascination, the people were fun. We learned a lot about East Los Angeles. The culture, the history, the food. What a great way to spend a few hours. We are now planing our Thai Town Tour. Can't wait.

We did the East LA food tour, which explored a part of the city I had never been to. The food was delicious, and I'm definitely planning on going back and exploring more of East LA!

What a great experience. So glad my wife and I picked East LA for our tour. We're from SoCal but like most locals, we'd never been. Also, like most SoCal locals, we love our Mexican food and this tour was great because we got to learn about the origin of some of our favorite dishes and how they came to LA. The culture of East LA just emanates from the people, art, and architecture during the tour.
Andrew was our guide and he was a stud. He was great at engaging everyone on the tour as well as offering morsels of info at every stop. I would definitely recommend this tour to people who've never ventured to East LA and anyone visiting from out of town (we had several people from GBR, AUS, and NZ).
